Qualifications

Personal Background:

• my family has lived in our community since 1833
• my father, grandfather and great-grandfather all served our community on local council
• I attended Meaford Public School and Meaford District High School and retired here in 1999
• I am widowed with 2 children and 2 grandchildren
• I spent 39 years in education in different parts of Ontario as a teacher and administrator

Community Service:

• 2018 – Treasurer of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 32
• 2018 – Treasurer of the Friends of The Barn

• 2003-2014 – Councillor, Deputy Mayor, Mayor of the Municipality of Meaford
• 2000-2003 – Chair of the Meaford Public Library
• 1990’s – on the board & President of Oakville United Way
• 1980’s – on the board & President of Halton Family Services in Oakville & Burlington
• actively involved in my church all my life – currently the treasurer at Christ Church, Meaford
